A topic which is is in everyone's mouth now-a-days. Yeah its very important to look into this and address this. But before attacking the word "Inclusive" we need to again dissect and look into minute details of what education means to everyone !
Its very scary at least for me sometimes when they say "Inclusive Education" will be made compulsory in all schools. Think about it . What would happen to a special child in a regular main school in today's context where there are 30 odd children in the classroom, teacher ignorant about the varied ability of the child and thoroughly confused as to how to handle the classroom discipline !
It can only do more harm to the special child than help him. Parents may feel content and consoled by this decision, but in the long run this system will fail utterly.
For us to make inclusive schools we need to re-define what is Education all over again. What is that you want to impart to the child in the classrooms? How do you want to it ?
For me each child is Special. He has his own baggage of strengths and weaknesses. If the educator is equipped with the ability to look at the child's strengths and work with them, then classroom automatically becomes a special classroom. Think about it ....if each child's curriculum could be defined based on the strength of the child, ability of the child, naturally there would be no behavioral issues, self worth issues and comparison issues. children learn what they want to learn naturally and start appreciating each others strengths and accept their weaknesses.

That is so true and they were or rather are my sentiments exactly....:) but unfortunately the ray of hope is there but very faint as of now:(
